Lisa Nelson and her work is as brilliant as it is understated. Her Tuning Scores are both a training practice and a compositional language for creating performance in the moment. More than anything, they are an incredible practice for attuning our senses to how we are creating and composing our perception in the moment through our actions.

I worked with Lisa over the course of a year in the Figure Space program, alongside Steve Paxton and about twenty other brilliant movers. She taught me about how I see and literally opened doors of perception for me. She lives on a farm in Vermont and spends the non-growing season teaching all over the world.
