Ruth Zapora and Action Theater
I met Ruth Zapora in a week-long workshop in London in 2002, and flew half way around the world to do a month-long immersion with her in Berkeley the following year. Action Theater is her technique and is one of the most versatile approaches I’ve experienced to improvisation, incorporating movement, vocalization and speech to train our ability to perceive and respond in the moment.
