Modern Dance

I’ve studied more forms with more teachers of Modern dance than I care to list right here, but I will say that Graham, Cunningham and Limon techniques all had a big part in my early training and provided an incredibly solid base on which to build (and destroy J). If you are in NYC, you could go to any of those specific companies for classes, but you could also explore the many incredible studios and teachers that the Modern dance world has given birth to. The most important thing is to find both a technique and a teacher that is good for you and your body right now, rather than choosing based on how think looking and feeling good could be in the future.
